Has there been any car break ins recently in the community?
Jeannettegonzalez's picture

Tony, We take pride in our community and our residents. Recently, we were alerted of a nearby car burglary . We take this matter very serious and want to provide our residents with some helpful common safety tips during this Safety Seminar. Meanwhile, we encourage residents to make sure all your doors locked at all times and all valuables are removed from your vehicle. Residents also are urged to report suspicious activity, such as people walking or driving up and down the street, checking for unlocked doors, or looking in windows, backyards or vehicles. ** Be a good neighbor. If you notice anything suspicious in your neighborhood, call 911 and call the Leasing Center immediately. The most important thing you can do is call the police to report a CRIME or any SUSPICIOUS activity. Remember, you can always remain a pair of anonymous eyes. You are the eyes of your neighborhood! Please feel free to contact the office if you should have any questions or concerns at 407-628-8400. We look forward to seeing you all at this helpful event. Sincerely, Serena Winter Park Team

This is something that happens all over the world and even from smiling friends, it's sad that people are reduced to stealing because they have needs. I have been stupid enough to trust and help others only to get robbed and have them help me look for it. yes, any where I go, lock my car, don't talk to strangers, don't offer help unless I know for sure i'm not about to get punk'ed again. one time a friend who stole from me actually posted on fb.. "If you are stupid enough to leave your stuff out" then you are stupid enough to get robbed. It's not just the area, I have seen this entire side of Howell Branch become safer, there are no more pan handlers but I won't be the one sending them away because the officer told me that is how I can get hurt, so If anything looks suspicious or people you don't know knock and ask you to open the door. please ask the office or show their ID through the peep hole. I made it through some serious lessons and have a bump on my head as a result of helping someone up north. this is why I have to feel safe and protected. I did take some classes to defend myself but awareness without being fearful is my best attitude. hope everyone feels safe and I hope to create a community like this is becoming and do what I can to contribute to the positive side of living.

Apologize for feedback while upset

Feedback Praise for Serena Winter Park

I am wondering how to remove the post about anything I may have done to hurt someones feelings regarding the peanut prancing squirrels, I get annoyed when I can't let my cat on the porch because of how friendly the squirrels have become. I truly appreciate Jeanette taking so much time with me today with such concern to smooth out every single concern regardless of how petty it may seem. In the future I will be so happy to speak with Jeannette first before I say anything like that again because she has a way of going above and beyond during all these changes in hopes for a nice community...

Feedback Problem for Serena Winter Park

Hi, is there any way that the DBK can not park in the middle of the road? A van was parked perpendicular to my car for no apparent reason this morning making it extremely difficult to back out of the space. I left a voicemail at the office this morning but have not heard back.

Awe, cute lil' family!! miss you Jeanette and sorry I work to early to have coffee and donuts but I will tell my Bf to try and make it and say hello! I also wanted to follow up with something we mentioned before the big Inspection. hope all is well, I guess the squirrels with the peanuts are living well and part of our community, my cat will not become friends with them like that again, she has no claws and could have been hurt. so keep feeding the peanuts lady, the shells are always up my stairs, hope nobody slips on them and thank you for telling me you could care less about my cat or my request to stop feeding every critter you invite here, I guess as a self proclaimed witch these animals are necessary for your religious beliefs. I have no problem with what people believe in, but we all share this community and my cat would have loved to visit on the porch until the squirrel went after her. thanks alot witch!
