Good evening Serena Winter Park residents,

I wanted to take a moment and provide you with an evening update. Today, our team worked very hard to have our grounds cleared of any debris. Our team will continue to bring our property to the highest standards. Thank you to the several residents who really motivated and kept our spirits up during our clean up efforts.

Refrigerated Food and Power Outages: When to Save and When to Throw Out

When you live in an area that's prone to hurricanes, and the power goes out, we all face the same dilemma: How long can we still eat the food in the refrigerator or freezer, and what should we keep or discard after the power comes back on?

Is food in the refrigerator safe during a power outage? It should be safe as long as power is out no more than 4 hours . Keep the door closed as much as possible. Discard any perishable food (such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and leftovers) that have been above 40 °F for over 2 hours.

Stay Entertained When The Power Is Out

Today, we all had that dreadful feeling when you're watching tv and boom, the power goes out. That feeling sinks into you, but then you calmly remind yourself that the power is out and it will return...eventually.

Sure, by now you started digging into all your hurricane preparation food and secret stash or two. By the time hour two or three passes and you are nearly losing your mind because well technology rules our fun nowadays.

So what to do when the power goes out? Let’s sit back and let the fun begin!
