Feedback Question for Riva

Recently I learned that the bill has changed rather then a % of usage per bldg, you are having a flat rate of the bill for the WHOLE property based on occupancy. Now does this include the laundry room? Since the laundry collects money this should NEVER EVER be part of the water bill. I would like confirmation that it is not and I would like proof.

The flat rate of the Ista bills are based on the square footage of the apartment homes. Ex.

Sq Ft 517 719 762 1079

Water $7.99 $11.12 $11.78 $16.68

Sewer $14.82 $20.60 $21.84 $30.92

Trash $10.00 $10.00 $10.00 $10.00

Admin $3.37 $3.37 $3.37 $3.37

Total $36.18 $45.09 $46.99 $60.97

When I call ista to ask about this they say to speak with you...

The concern is

1) If a tennant goes on vacation or a way for a month or so and there is NO WATER USAGE - how is this fair?

2) A flat rate rather then a % of your bldg means we are paying for the water usage for the laundry room which is collecting money for that usage - so if the laundry room is included in the base amount you guys are getting paid twice for that water.. Id like some proof that this is NOT happening...

I was great talking to you, I hope our conversation cleared up any concerns you may have had regarding the Ista billing process. Please be advised that Ista does not bill our residents for the water and sewer supplied to the community’s amenities, this is a separate bill absorbed by McKinley. The flat rates were calculated to evenly distribute the residents’ consumption per unit, per model. Please feel free to contact me or better yet stop by should you have any further concerns.
