Its been there for over a year. Why now? I didn't get proper notification. You all charged me a 100 deposit. Its going to cost me 50 to have them re-install a new one. You all need to credit my account or pay for installation. I' m pissed off with yall poor way of taking people stuff without notification. What's the next step needs to be taken to get this issue resolved?????...

Request for rental payment grace period or reduction of late fee.

Feedback Idea for The Courtyards

I understand the importances of paying rent on time, however things happen that can prevent a person from making rent payment on time. I think it would be great if Mckinley properties offered a grace period similar to surrounding rental properties. Having grace period is a good business practice and would make Mckinley a consumer friendly business, in addition to being one of the top properties in the area. One of the major benefits of having a grace period that is reasonable and fair is that it avoids problems with good tenants that just miss paying on time. It is very pressing to give up $...

I agree with you on this 100% ive rented ever since I was out on my own like 8 years now. There has always been like a 5-7 days grace period before the first late fee would be added. This is the first community I've ever lived in this late right away!! They need to relaize some people are only payed 2 a month and some of us dont have section 8 or subsidized rental, Sometimes the pay period doesnt fall right, thats happened to me twice now , and for us to be penallized so quickly makes it hard to catch up. I hope they look into this for us as well.

So I'm wondering if these court charges will be reversed as stated to me before because the remaining rent of $255 was paid along with th other $50 dollar late charge... Ive never been late before on rent this was the first time and as well as it was only $255 left of a balance when was submitted for court which i think is a lil crazy considering more then half the rent was paid....Anyway i just need to know if those fees will be off thanks for your time... And did you recieve my fax yesterday?<br /> <br /> have a good day!!...

Hi Dayna - court fees are never reversed off. These are fees already charged by the courts at the time of filing. This month the court filing was on the 14th. (This time frame can change monthly depending on the courts calendar). Once this fee is charged to your account, it must be paid before the court date each month to avoid a judgement on your account. This month the court date is January 30th. Please call me if anything in this answer is confusing you.

So I planned on paying my $255 balance this friday morning when I'm paid yesterday Inoticed a late charge or $50 now today you guys added legal so how you excpect someone to catch up more then half the rent was paid so now you wanna file ?!?!?!?!?!? doesnt make sence to me I only had a balance of 255 left i had already paid late fees twice. but now u wanna slap on legal fees wow !!! Im disgusted with the way this place is ran I thought it was great to live in when I first moved in but its nothing but problems!!!!!! So you mean to tell me if I pay 305 thats inclduing the another late fee...

Hi Dayna - I am sorry that you are frustrated with your fees. The late fee schedule has not changed since you signed your lease and initialed that you understood the costs of paying your rent late. Legal fees are charged to your account the day of court filing, because that is when the court charges us. If rent is not paid in full on the first of the month, there is a $30.00 late fee on the 2nd. If we still do not have a resident's entire monthly rent by the 6th, there is an additional $50.00 late fee. If a resident has still not paid by the 12th (this date can vary by a day or two depending on the court's calendar) we seek legal remedy. Court costs are based on the amount of leaseholders and can range between $150 - $210 depending on the number of leaseholders. The amount charged back to the resident is determined by the courts.

I apologize if you are having problems with your heat and water. I do not see a work order for you since mid November. Please let us know exactly what issues you are having with your home so that we can put in a service request and take care of your needs when we call you today with your balance.
