1970 Staircase

Feedback Problem for Traver Crossing

One of the steps in the staircase in 1970 is loose and squeaky. There's a nail sticking out of it. Can you please fix this?...

This sounds like it may be a safety, and hence liability, issue, in which case Emergency Maintenance should be called immediately so they can inspect the stair and take appropriate action by either repairing it or taping off the area with Caution tape, warning people not to use that staircase until a proper repair can be made. Decisions regarding this type of problem are the responsibility of Management, not residents. If you have not called Emergency Maintenance yet, please do so immediately!

Snow and Ice Removal Update

Good afternoon Residents of Traver Crossing,

You will notice our maintenance team and contractors have already made at least one pass through our community to plow and salt the sidewalks and driveways. They are expected to return later today to continue to clear the driveways and parking lots.

I noticed that the walkways were cleared but some of the stairs between the apartments and the parking lots did not have the snow removed. This was in front of 1079. I was able to manage but know some of the folks around there may have mobility issues and it might be difficult for them to manage the stairs piled with snow if they need to get to their car.

Earlier this morning our team began to clear and salt the stairs and walkways. Our contractor will clear the driveways and parking lots.

In order to ensure effective salting and snow removal, we wanted to make you aware of a few suggestions to help our contractors remove the snow quickly and efficiently. Dear Residents of Traver Crossing,

Welcome to 2020! Let me begin by expressing my gratitude for your residency. It’s been such a pleasure to meet you, to work with our amazing team, and to serve Traver Crossing. As we begin this year, I would like to reflect for a moment on the changes and improvements for our community in 2019.

Last year we saw the replacement of two roofs, asphalt repairs which included sealcoating and restriping of the parking lots, installation of curbing and new sidewalks, and the beginning of our patio/balcony replacement project.

Heating Update

Good afternoon Neighbors of 1067-1073,

Our heating and cooling contractor is working to restore the boiler in your building. My sincere apologies for any discomfort and inconvenience. In the meantime, we are offering space heaters. I'm in the process of calling each home to provide updates and confirm if a space heater is wanted. You may also request a space heater by emailing travercrossing@mckinley.com . I will be checking the account frequently and our team will work as quickly as possible to deliver the heaters to you.

With quite a bit of rain and the cold overnight temperatures, there are icy areas throughout the community. The stairs and walkways are being treated by our maintenance team and a salt truck is coming to treat the driveways and parking lots as well.

Laundry Room Project

As we move through Winter, we are performing some touch-ups in our common areas so that things look and feel cozy and fresh.

Thursday, January 2nd , and Friday, January 3rd , our maintenance team will start a project to repaint the basement floors, starting with the laundry rooms.
