We wanted to send out a few friendly reminders to help you stay prepared for the extremely cold temperatures we’ve been having and are expected to experience over the next couple weeks, in an effort to try and ensure your safety and help prevent frozen pipes. If you plan on leaving your apartment home for any extended period of time during the winter months, please take the following precautions:
- Verify the heat within your home is functioning properly and maintain at least a 60 degree temperature, including the times you may be on vacation/out of town.
- Ensure all windows are closed and tightly sealed.
- When temperatures drop below zero, please note that it can be helpful to open the cabinet doors in your kitchen and bathrooms to expose pipes to warmer room temperatures.
Please also remember that you’ve executed a utilities addendum as part of your lease agreement wherein you have agreed to continue all utilities through the entirety of your lease term.
If you must travel, it’s a good idea to keep a flashlight, blanket, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
As always, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 734-761-7700 if you have any questions or require any assistance. We appreciate you and value your residency. Stay warm and have a great day!
