Good Afternoon Neighbors!

I hope everyone is enjoying the weather!

We want to reach out in regards to the wide spread power outage affecting the majority of the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Line and the surrounding area.

For those who are affected, we are so sorry! We recommend reaching out to DTE Energy at 1-800-477-4747 or by downloading the DTE Application on your smartphone. It is available on the App Store and Google Play. We have notified DTE of the outages and they should be out this afternoon to find the cause of the problem. There is no current estimation for...

Trail to shopping center

Feedback Problem for Glencoe Hills

There's a section of the trail leading to the shopping center that has washed away/deteriorated again creating a hazard. It was filled in late summer/early fall but it didn't hold up. It's almost as bad as it was before the gap was filled in. There's also trash that needs to be picked up along that section...

cigarette smoke in building 2253

Say Mckinley is a nonsmoking community?not the first time we tolerate cigarette smoke in our building. Since the new neighbors appeared, our peaceful home has become a terrible place.Tonight the whole building was in smoke. We live on the third floor and all this horror in our apartment. All things in my apartment smell like cigarette smoke. My daughter and I got poisoned today - our daughter vomits because we have cigarette smoke intolerance. I had to evacuate my cats and my daughter and sit in the car for an hour until this smell disappears from my apartment. I beg you to take action...

Yes, I live on the second floor and she's right, there has been a strong smell of smoke in the building today and my entire apartment smells of smoke, not sure if it's cigarette or somethjng else burned in some apartment.

and the fact is that we cannot even turn on the heating because cigarette smoke is going through the ventilation. It was cold this night - it was terrible

Smokers will not stop smoking because they move into a no-smoking property like ours. There needs to be some way to screen them out before they sign a lease. They all act like this is an optional prohibition. Like these people, my health issues are exacerbated by smoking and there has been consistent smoking in and around my building. Recently a letter was posted reminding residents of the no-smoking policy. They don't care. Because smokers are going to smoke. Please get these people off the property. There are plenty of non-smokers who would be glad to rent here. McKinley has a legal right to enforce everything that is in the lease. I hope it doesn't take a year to get rid of these violators like it did with the barking dog issue. Thanks for taking immediate action community wide.

I am in 2261 where people blatantly smoke in the walk through to the laundry room. This is a non smoking community and these people are breaking their lease agreement. Go smoke outside! I hate having to walk through a cloud of marijuana smoke to get to the laundry room and then walking back through they apologize for the "cigarette" smoke. This is a several times a day occurence by the same individuals. Please do take immediate action.

Continuous smoking in 2260 as well which I keep reporting. When do these people who violate the lease repeatedly get evicted? Which clauses of the lease can the rest of us break over and over again?

Lights still out in Building 2240

Feedback Problem for Glencoe Hills

A few of us reported that all the lights were out in the hallways of Building 2240 a week ago and my service request was marked completed on 3/25. A light fixture was replaced and one of the hallway lights is on now, but the other five hallway lights are still out. I spoke with Charlotte in person, left a message for the office on 3/25, and emailed Charlotte twice this past week and I have not heard back from anyone. What is going on?? It is very dark in our building at night and everyone who comes to my place or delivers a package comments on it. It's dangerous because you can barely...

Thank you for bringing this on-going issue to our attention.  I am very sorry that you have been experiencing this issue after several attempts to have it corrected.

I did speak with Charlotte, in addition to our Maintenance Supervisor, and we are having our certified electrician address the issue directly.

Cigarette Butts at Front Porch

The new cigarette butts on the west side of the front porch to 2260 keep piling up. Someone in this building or their guest is ignoring the no smoking policy and creating a mess. If you want to smoke, please move someplace that allows it. Otherwise, please respect the property, the lease and your neighbors. Thank you.

Thank you for letting us know about the smoking around the entrance of your building.  This a violation of our Smoke Free Community policy and I am sorry these behaviors are infringing on the enjoyment of your home and our community.

If you notice this happening during normal business hours, please call our office immediately so that one of our team members can come directly to your building and personally address the situation.  In addition, I will be posting a warning to everyone in your building with a reminder these actions are a direct violation of their signed lease agreement must cease immedately.

I hope this problem is resolved quickly.

Sick Skunk outside 2281

Feedback Problem for Glencoe Hills

Hi! This is the second day in a row that we have seen a skunk in the middle of the day, outside the door to building 2281 (on the side facing Washtenaw). It has a hole behind the bushes. It's small and looking really disoriented and confused. Healthy skunks don't come out in the middle of the day, so besides the smell, I worry about potential disease that could be spread to my curious kids or to our neighbors' dogs. Can something be done to trap this critter? Thanks...

EMERGENCY WATER SHUT-OFF

FYI there is an abandoned car near the dumpster by bldg 2273. It is a blue Ford Taurus with no valid license plates, and also a flat tire. It's parked tail in, probably an attempt to disguise the fact it has no plate...

Hi , I just wanted to bring to your attention, yesterday one of the maintenance guy open my apartment door at 2 am night without my approval , even i didn't receive any call , i hope all maintenance guys will have duplicate keys of all the apartments, well but if any issue happens i mean any urgent request, before open the apartment door, they should call the tenant , we were scared to see the person at 2 am in front of my door , he already opened the door with duplicate key, because of the hook only he was stood outside, we were scared to see the persons at midnight in front of my...
