Good afternoon McKinley Hyde Park Residents!
As we are sure you are aware, Gov. Rick Scott has declared a state of emergency in the state as rapidly growing Hurricane Irma, now upgraded to a Category 5 storm, is expected to make landfall later this week.
Our team is extremely busy carrying out hurricane preparedness protocol at all of our communities in Hyde Park and South Tampa. You will see sandbags are being positioned, gutters are being cleaned, trees are being trimmed and as many necessary and preventative measures are being taken to prepare for the impending storm. Because our first concern is for your safety, please stay alert to local weather and news and visit FLGetAPlan.com or RedCross.org today and follow the instructions to make a plan and get prepared.
Emergency officials have warned that the storm could dump more than ten inches of rain, unleash landslides and dangerous floods, as well as generate waves up to 23 feet as the storm draws closer.
