Nightime Lighting Issues

Feedback Problem for Conway Forest

I rented my Coway Forest apartment in the Fall of 2009 when all outside lighting was operational. This is not what you, or I, are getting for our money now. This is my 4th attempt to get Conway Forest/McKinley to replace all the burned out bulbs that are putting us in harms way for crimes of opportunity. I've also noted that other residents have posted recent messages about burnt out bulbs, but I have no way of knowing if their issues were resolved.

Car Break-In - 10/27 or 28/10

Feedback Problem for Conway Forest

This message is intended to alert neighbors of a recent car break-in and remind them to keep cars locked and not leave valuables in the car. During the evening of 10/27, or early morning of 10/28/10, a car was broken into in the parking lot of Buildings 5,6,7, etc. The police were called, the car was dusted for prints and a report was filed. It is unknown, at this time, if any valuables were taken. Hopefully, the large light that illuminates the center of this parking lot will soon be operational again. A well-lit area may deter crimes of opportunity, like this.

Thank you for reminding us all to be careful. Everyone is rushing to get to work or to get home and we sometimes forget the small steps that can help. The first line of defense is to make sure your car doors are locked. The second tidbit is to make sure there are no valuables that are visible i.e. cd’s, gps or lose change. These reminders are so important no matter where you are work, home, shopping etc. Again, thank you for the opportunity to share this information with everyone.

Night Time Lighting Maintenace, Procedure and Policy

Feedback Idea for Conway Forest

NOTE: When I first moved into Conway Forest, 08/09, the well-lit areas at night time were a major plus in my book. Sadly, the lighting is getting dim and could, potentially, open our apartment complex up to the crimes of opportunists. Hopefully, under the guidance of our new Property and Maintenance Mgrs., Tiffany and Jason, this problem will be addressed quickly.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your schedule to compile a list for us. We actually did a light inspection over the weekend. The guys will be working to get all of these replaced and we will be partnering with vendors for the taller lights. Thanks again for your suggestion and this should all be resolved shortly.

I began reporting outside lighting outages on October 15, 2010. As of November 18, 2010, only a few light bulbs have been replaced. I've also noticed that the side of the pool, opposite from the front office, is in total darkness at night. Neither of the two post lamps are operational, nor are the 4 lights up in the center of the kazebo working. Additionally, the lighting to the front of the main office flickers off and on and is off most of the time (I'm referring to the tall lights), again, leaving a property area in total darkness. All this is in addition to my list of outside lighting outage concerns above!

What gives!? Does management not care about the residents' safety after they leave the property? All safety lighting on the property should be operational. I don't understand why this issue is not being addressed, with the exception of maybe 3-4 lights.

What's the point of having "Feedback Central" if resolution action is not initiated by management once residents bring issues to their attention?

Dumpster Over-flow - 10/24/10

Feedback Problem for Conway Forest

With regards to my phone call to maintenance this weekend for the grossly over-flowing dumpster, the residents, nor any on-call maintenance person, would or should have to deal with this crazy nasty issue, if a timely maintenance policy were adopted and adhered to. The weekend over-flows happen frequently. This weekend was the worst I've seen in my year+ of Conway Forest residency. Garbage and flies were "literally" over-flowing out into the parking lot. Not acceptable. As residents have to pay a monthly fee for the one dumpster on site, a first for me in apartment residency...

I am so very sorry you had this problem over the weekend. You are absolutley correct this is not an issue that can go unresolved. I along with my team will be taking this under advisement on Monday to come up with a long term solution. I know that a member of the maintenance was there to resolve this on Saturday and we want to make sure it does not happen again. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention and rest assured we will be looking into a speedy remedy. Thanks again for all of your insight

Fransisco - Dumpster Overflow

Feedback Praise for Conway Forest

I wanted to send kudos out to Fransisco, our on call maintenance representative the weekend of 10/23. When I phoned in a report that the dumpster was grossly overflowing, unsanetary and disgusting, he phoned me back within 15 minutes to let me know he was headed to the dumpster to check things out. He indicated he had also put in a call to his supervisor and I believe he said they had placed a call to try to get it emptied (may not be possible on a Sunday). When I returned from running errends, Fransisco was at the dumpster, sweeping and cleaning up the mess the best he could for a good hour...

Routine maintenance is not so much for the water as it is for the system that carries it. Our thoughts are that if we take the time to replace key pipes in our irrigation/plumbing system now it will save us time and minimize shut offs in the future. I appreciate your concern and thank you for your interest in your home.
