Good Evening Abranette,
I would like to thank you for taking the time to write and list the items that you have of concern. I have listed below how we have already addressed some of the items and what we are also doing to be proactive with others.

1) One of the first items we addresed when I arrived in February was to change the locks/latches at the pool area and to keep it open 24 hrs a day. I hope that all of our residents get the opportunity to enjoy this during our beautiful weather.
2) The fitness center is open 24 hrs a day, if you woluld like a key, there is a $25.00 refundable deposit for it.
3) The raquetball court is being cleaned on a daily basis and looks much better from when I first arrived, we are also looking into some painting and sealing of the walls and floors in the coming months.
4) The Tennis courts are lighted and are on a timer, the timer is located on the light pole itself. Please stop by the office and myself or one of the team will be glad to show you exactly where it is located.
5) We are working with the landscapers regarding the leaf blowing and also looking at adding some more grass throughout the year.
6) We are near completion with our pressure washing of the buildings, and will complete it this week. For the next step, we are looking at painting the breezways in each building during the next few months.
7) The car in the back of the Community was an isolated incident with that particular resident. They were able to get wheels within a couple days move it away. We want all of our residents to continue to feel safe and to look out for one another.
8) We have addressed with our residents about cleaning up after their pets, and our team has been instructed to mention to residents about the concerns and we will begin to issue fines for those residents that do not abide by the guidelines.
9) We have increased the frequency of the garage pick up in the community and have also increased the pick up of the recycling station from 1 days to 2 days. We will continue to monitor this to see any other adjustments need to be made.
10) I apologize for the turnover in office staff over the past several months. Brent was promoted to our Regional Director, we have added Mike Pry to head up our Maint team and I came on in February with the focus of providing our residents with the best possible team for their needs.
11) I am not aware of any breakins to any of our apts this year, we will continue to keep our lighting updated and report any suspicious persons to the authorities.
12) We want our Community to continue to be peaceful, please report any specific noise to the office so that we may address it promptly.

Thank you again for being a concerned and caring resident, please feel free to stop by to discuss any other items with me in the future.

Have a Great Night!
Mike

Pressure Cleaning, Building #6

Feedback Problem for Conway Forest

When Building 6 was recently pressure cleaned, it appears that the finest, thinnest point of the cleaning nozzle was used on the breezeways and stairs, rather than opening the nozzle a bit to enable the water to spread out and pressure clean larger areas at a time. This resulted in inadequate, fine, thin lines of pressure cleaning.

The stairs are not clean. All the water was pushed up under the stairwell on the first floor, leaving a large, standing puddle of dirty water, leaves and trash.

Could we please have the stairs and under the...

Good afternoon Debbie,
Thank you for bringing this point up, I agree with you and we are actually borrowing an attachment for our pressure washer from one of our other Communities and will get building 6 completed properly on Tuesday. We will also be pressure washing the sidewalks in the community in the next few weeks.
We will be pressure washing the buildings again later in the year and will be painting the landings immediately afterwards.

Have a Great Day!

broken sprinkler?

Feedback Problem for Conway Forest

In the back of the complex there is a broken sprinkler head, at about 5-6 every morning it spouts massive amounts of water , which could explain the increase in our water bills

michael.pingston@mckinley.com's picture
michael.pingsto... McKinley Employee

Good Morning Rachel,
Thank you for bringing the broken sprinkler head to our attention. The irrigation system uses well water so that would not affect the water bills for the Community, but we still need to have it repaired. I will pick up the appropriate parts today so that we can have it have it repaired today or tomorrow.

I thought Conway Forest was Pet Friendly!?

Feedback Question for Conway Forest

I posted a sign down at the dumpster early this morning for a cat I found sleeping at my front door. I see that sign has been taken down. How am I supposed to get word out that I have the cat if I can't even post a sign...

FTQQ533810's picture
FTQQ533810

BTW: This cat is white, fixed, declawed, clean and friendly. It is an indoor cat and has gotten out from who where it lives. I cannot keep it. I desperately want to attempt to find it's owner ASAP! Somebody has taken the time and money to fix him/her up which indicates that they may be looking for it. I have already taken in a stray that showed up in rough shape some time ago. He's not liking the new cat, at all. I'm in between a rock and a hard place. I love animals, but can only do so much. Please allow me to post signs to try to find the owner. Please!

michael.pingston@mckinley.com's picture
michael.pingsto... McKinley Employee

Hi Debbie,
I do not know who took the sign down, but we will be more than happy to have it posted at the office for you.
Thank you for being such a caring person towards the pets in the community!

FTQQ533810's picture
FTQQ533810

In keeping with it’s pet friendly policy, I am requesting Conway Forest reconsider it's No Signage policy by making an exception for lost or found pets within our complex.

The signs I posted down at the dumpster were taken down by a maintenance employee who was just trying to do his job. No harm was intended!

By parking my truck down at the mailbox, with signs for the cat taped to the inside windows, I was able to locate the cat's owner. She is a Conway Forest resident who is currently out of town. She knew her cat was missing and alerted a neighbor. That neighbor saw the signs in my truck and phoned me.

A happy ending, but only with some Yankee ingenuity.

Will Conway Forest please allow us to post signs for lost or found pets? The mailbox location would be a good spot.

Thank you.

FOUND – LARGE WHITE CAT ON 3/7/12. De-clawed and fixed. Appears to be an inside cat that has gotten loose. Please, contact front office for information ASAP.

I cannot keep this cat inside my apartment for more than a day. My cat is jealous and ready to fight for his territory.
