Compactor Rules and Child Safety!

Announcement for Turnbury at Countryside

Dear Turnbury Residents,

Please be aware that children should never be allowed to place garbage into the compactor. This is an extremely dangerous practice and can result in great harm. A child can tip over and be crushed before rescue could be possible. PLEASE! If your child is carrying trash to the compactor, STOP immediately! *Unattended children are not allowed at the compactor area, this includes the pick-up deck in front, where large trucks remove the compactor. Thank you for helping to make our Community safer for everyone.

Sincerely, Randy, Community Manager...

Shocking Shower Knobs & Safety Issues 4+ months

Feedback Problem for Turnbury at Countryside

So, we moved into our apartment in late October. Since moving in we (my children & I) have been getting shocked by our shower knobs. I initially reported this issue through a ticket as we are instructed. Maintenance came out and "tested" it multiple times and said they couldn't find anything. I asked if we could get plastic knobs that would be non conductive but was told that plastic knobs wouldn't work for me and they would just break. I reported the issue a few more times where maintenance came out and said the same thing. After much complaining, an electrician'...

sprinklers

Feedback Problem for Turnbury at Countryside

FYI sprinklers came on today and soaked the entrance area of the tennis court leaving half an inch or more of standing water - also sprinklerhead near the grill near the main pool is a gusher of water not a spray

Hello Chrystal, Thank you so much for this posting.  I apologize for the inconvenience the sprinklers may have caused.  This was an irrigation check, were our contractor inspects and makes note of these problems (mis-directed and broken heads) in order to correct them.  Have a wonderful evening!  Sincerely, Randy, Community Manager

The sprinklers have been an issue for months. I moved into building 29 in late October and they've been broken since we moved in. They spray the whole bottom of the stairs so we can't even go up them without getting soaked.

Disturbance - School Bus Stop

Feedback Problem for Turnbury at Countryside

Every morning there are a few kids waiting for bus 312 that are fighting with other kids, pushing, punching yelling and insulting other kids and **parents** using extremely inappropriate vulgar words in a demeaning and mocking manner. Their loud and boisterous behavior is disturbing others in the community including residents that live near the bus stop, other kids and parents. These kids are unsupervised while waiting for the bus and throughout the comunity very often. No one, including other children, should be exposed to such violent and vulgar environment in their own community. There are...

Thank you Karen,  Any resident with a concern and firsthand knowledge of inappropriate or disruptive behavior by another resident or guest of a resident can make complaint in this office and is encouraged to do so.  Disruptive behavior is contradictory to our community policy and complaints of such are taken in a quiet and confidential manner where they are documented and acted on appropriately.  When making complaint, it is most beneficial to have specific times and dates of the offending behavior.   Violent behavior should be reported to law enforcement authorities right away.  Officers will investigate and act accordingly.

Thank you again for your post, Randy, Community Manager

Unfortunately, there are a lot of adults living at Turnbury who never learned civility as children. Unfortunately, they breed. And unfortunately, there's no way to background-check their lack of home training or common sense. It's why I'm extremely cautious about allowing my child to socialize with other children here. Your only real safeguard is to stay with your child during the bus stop wait, and while that may not stop other parents from behaving poorly, you can somehow shield your child from the vermin.

Driving the wrong way

Feedback Problem for Turnbury at Countryside

Please do something about the entrance/exit by building 40 and 42. People seem to not want to drive the correct way. ONE WAY! I have argued several times with violators and have had to dodge a few accidents. This is ridiculous. It's time McKinley takes charge. Please add One-Way traffic spikes for parking lots or something...

Vanessa, Thank you for this posting! I'm looking into help from the City of Clearwater for traffic control since this has become a safety issue.  I want to remind all residents that our one way street signs should be adhered to for the safety of everyone.  Thank you again, Randy, Community Manager
