Experiencing Low Water Pressure?

Good Morning Aspen Chase!

We wanted to let you know that we have been in touch with Ypsilanti regarding the low water pressure that many of you have been experiencing.

Due to the construction that is being done right now on Golfside Rd., we will most likely be experiencing the low water pressure during the daytime hours through next Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012.
Please plan your water usage accordingly.

If you have further questions, you may contact the Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority at 734-484-4600 between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 4:00p.m.

Thank you for your patience during the construction improvements!

Water!

Ypsilanti Township officials have just called and have changed the plans for water shutoff, due to the Golfside Road Construction. They mistakenly turned off our water today, and will turn it back on by 10am.

However, tomorrow Thursday, May 10th  THE WATER WILL BE SHUT OFF BY THE CITY ALL DAY FROM 8AM UNTIL 6PM

Please prepare for this on Thursday, and help spread the word to neighbors!

IMPORTANT!

Hey Guys,

I just got off the phone with the Township. As part of the Golfside road construction going on, this end of Golfside (including us) will lose water on this coming Thursday morning :(

Township officials tell me that the outage will last 30 minutes and could be anytime between 8am and noon. They also tell us to look for another shutoff next week, they have not determined specific time yet. I will be sure to keep you all posted. Please feel free to call me with questions, I will pass along any and all information I get.

Vendors and Contractors

Hello All!

I want to take a moment just to re-iterate a point, in following up with our neigborhood watch meeting from last week. Please make sure any contractors and/or vendors, attempting to access your apartment are in fact working with the authorization of myself or our maintenance supervisor Benjamin.

Painters, carpet people, pest control or anyone else, must be able to provide you with ID, if they are not clearly identifiable or if you are not expecting them. Don't hesitate to call the office to verify anyone on site that you do not recognize. We have a zero tolerance policy for no solicitation on site. This is all a part of our community effort to "look out for your neighbor" and I thank you all for your help!

Kitten Found at Aspen Chase

Are you looking for a great striped kitten with yellow eyes?  The resident who found this kitten believes it to be about 3-4 months old.  It is very clean and was found under the steps in building 8.

If this is your kitten, please call the Aspen Chase office for more information!  Thank you!

I did miss this due to timing and work hours. When will this be held again?

Have residents been going to these meetings? I need to get more involved.
CPBERGS2621 · 3 weeks 2 days ago
Apparently residents do attend these meetings. It was announced as a successful meeting. I would have gone myself but unfortunately my work schedule got in the way. The more people who go and get involved the better. It's getting warm out and this is the time of year everyone should really be observing your surroundings especially after dark. This will be my 3rd summer here and there is quite a bit more activity outside during the warm months. A good piece of advice is to make sure you lock you balcony doors even if you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Leaving these open is a common problem in the A2/Ypsi area. I have read countless news articles where balcony doors were left open and used as the entrance point for theives on upper floors of complexes similar to this one. Also as a pretty much life-time renter myself, I have and recommend everyone get a renters insurance policy to cover your property. It's not expensive, can be broken down in to monthly payments, and works almost the same way as homeowners insurance. The primary reason I have this is fire. It covers other losses but as a child I did experience a fire in the Family home. If my parents were not carrying insurance I would have only walked away with the school uniform I was wearing that morning without any shelter or place to go. It pays for temporary housing if you are left homeless due to a fire. Unless you have experienced a fire in the past you would not believe the damage the smoke alone does. It gets into everything and I mean everything including your folded, neat clothing storage areas. The smoke smell is there for good and you will be replacing your clothes if it happens. The wash it out theory does not work. Not to sound like a preacher but if you see something and your gut tells you it does not look right, you are probably right and should say something by reporting it appropriately, and immediately. I have, and will continue to do so. I will not be a victim of a crime quietly, nor allow anyone else to if there is a way to at least try prevent it with my personal safety in mind at all times. Since I have moved in here there have been some impressive improvements, and I feel generally safe here. The more eyes and ears the safer we all are. I do recommend everyone that possibly can get involved somehow. After all this is home to everyone who lives here and watching out for each other can accomplish nothing but good. Take care.
